There are definitely more than 18,000 Americans in the military stationed all around the world but I am sure that they would all appreciate the gesture that a cigar company from East Allen Township. These good people are donating 18,000 cigars to troops abroad, in cooperation with Cigars International. If you total the costs, the whole donation will amount to more than $65,000.
If you cannot grasp just how important this seemingly small gesture is, try putting yourself in the shoes of an American soldier serving in a ...
Election time is almost upon us and I am sure that many of you have made up your minds as to where (or whom) your votes will go. I do not mean to advocate any political agenda here. After all, this is a cigar blog and not a political blog. Still, such a major event is going to have effects for many years to come and it is simply hard to stay away from the discussion. In any case, what I am about to ...
Whoever said that luxury and entertainment are the first to suffer because of economic crises was right. At least that’s what the staff at Barclays Bank in the United Kingdom is probably thinking right now. Just recently, the big bosses of one of the most reliable and popular banks in the UK issued a statement to the effect that “big fat cigars” and “copious champagne” drinking is not to be allowed in this year’s Christmas parties. The reason? The financial crisis. The Mirror ...
Before you get all excited about a new cigar, let me tell you that the Cuban Fatty is a fictitious stogie. I was just reading a very humorous article over at The Spoof. Here it is for your reading pleasure:

This is probably one of the most common questions that you hear from new cigar enthusiasts. It is a very valid question as you normally hear people talking about how the older the cigar is, the better it tastes. Then there is the camp that says that aging a cigar would cause it to lose certain flavors. So which camp is right? Do cigars taste better when aged or are they better smoked "fresh?"
The answer, I have to say, depends on you and your personal ...
There are cigars and then there are cigars. Cigar aficionados would certainly understand what I mean and they would also probably feel a rush of excitement each time they hear the word Gurkha. For those who have no clue as to what I am talking about, the Gurkha is now being considered as one of the hottest cigars in the market.
The Gurkha, as popular and sought after as it is now, was not always considered so highly. It hails from India, where it was once looked ...
Mobsters and cigars – they’re certainly a good match in the eyes of many. The mob and Italy – still another match. How about chocolate and cigars? Hmm, now I find that really interesting! If you think the way I do, then you would be very interested in the latest cigars to come out of the country that is shaped like a boot.
Toscanello Aroma Fondente is the latest cigar that would probably have cigar enthusiasts clamoring for more. This cigar is conical in shape ...
You may be thinking what this blog has got to do with
Mark Twain…well, not much, really. You may not know, however, that Mark Twain was a great cigar lover. In fact, according to SFGate, he smoked around 20 to 40 cigars a day! Can you imagine smoking that much today? Although I would love to, I don’t think that I can do it. Health reasons not withstanding, I also have to consider the financial aspect. I highly doubt that I can afford ...
