The Cigar Trophy Awards were created as a gesture of appreciation and as a thank you for the hard work that goes into every single premium cigar, into every cherished accessory and into every feel-good oasis where we can enjoy a cigar in a pleasant atmosphere.
After the awards were initiated in 1998, the Cigar Trophies soon proved to be the most coveted awards in the cigar world. After all, it is the only prize awarded by the public in this sector.
The categories for the Consumer Awards are:

PROCESS
The winners are selected in two phases:
Nominations: Consumers submit their favorites in each category May 15 – June 18, 2023. The top five of each category will make it to the shortlist.
Voting: Consumers choose the winners from the shortlist July 3 – 16, 2023
NOMINATIONS
Between May 15 and June 18, 2023, passionados are welcome to nominate their favorite cigars (from various countries of origin), cigar accessories and cigar lounges on www.cigartrophy.com. The top 5 nominees will move on to the final voting (July 3 – 16, 2023). This year, we have added the categories BEST BOUTIQUE BRAND and BEST BOUTIQUE CIGAR to also bring smaller brands into the limelight.
VOTING
During the final voting round from July 3 – 16, 2023 (www.cigartrophy.com), consumers choose the winners from the shortlists of the top 5 nominees in each category.
RULES
Each consumer has one vote both in the nomination and voting phase. Multiple nominations or votes (per IP address) will be eliminated. Manufacturers, brand owners and operators of lounges can encourage their fan base to nominate or vote for their offers. However, no bonuses may be offered in this context.
AWARD CEREMONY
The Award Ceremony will be held on 14th September 2022 LIVE at InterTabac in Dortmund. The ceremony will be streamed on Facebook.
A separate set of awards (the Jury Awards) is determined by the Cigar Journal editorial staff. The winners in these categories will also be awarded at the ceremony:
