Guillermo Léon with his family and team presented not only the oldest cigar company in the Dominican Republic but also interesting new launches at the La Aurora booth.
The company announces for the US the expansion of the Cazadores line. Cazadores was first introduced in 2018 with Cazadores Claro featuring a Connecticut wrapper. La Aurora is now growing their value-priced cigar line with two new additions for 2024: Cazadores Maduro and Cazadores Nicaragua.
Each Cazadores cigar will be available in 3 sizes. Each box will come with 20 cigars:
Cazadores Robusto (5 x 50) — MSRP: $90/box or $4.50
Cazadores Toro (5.75 X 54) — MSRP: $95/box $4.75
Cazadores Gordo (6 x 60) — MSRP: $130/box $6.50
Also La Aurora USA releases La Aurora Preferidos Hors d’Age 2022 LE. The 2024 release, Hors d’Age 2022 LE is composed of an Ecuadorian wrapper paired with an Ecuadorian binder and long-filler leaves from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Nicaragua. For Hors D’Age, every leaf in the blend has been aged for at least 12 years. Hors d’Age 2022 LE will be available in a Toro format (5.75 x 54) in dress boxes of 15. This cigar release will only be available in 650 boxes. The cigar is expected to start shipping to retailers in late April (MSRP: $450/box or $30).
The third new release is called Puro Vinatge 2014. Master blender Manuel Inoa created a special blend for this year from a compilation of the best matured tobaccos from various countries from the 2014 harvest year.
