Aj Fernández presents one of the most anticipated novelties of the year at Intertabac: New World Dorado, the brand’s highest-end tobacco.
AJ Fernández has reserved for Intertabac the presentation of one of the cigars that has raised the most expectations among the consumers: New World Dorado. In the words of Abdel Fernández himself, it is the highest-end tobacco of the renowned Nicaraguan brand. It is a cigar made 100% with leaves from Estelí, Nicaragua, harvested on the same farm, the El Dorado farm, owned by Abdel Fernández. “Already when we began to harvest the first tobacco there,” says Abdel, “we are seeing that it was an excellent tobacco, that it smoked very well. El Dorado is a farm that is in an “hoyo”, a small valley, the land is exceptional, but, in addition, it collects with the rain everything that comes down from the surrounding hills. It’s an amazing farm.”
New World Dorado is a fairly innovative concept in the world of tobacco, not easy to achieve: when you depend one hundred percent on tobacco harvested on the same farm, you have to be sure that, every year, the quality will always be exceptional. Something that only some hard-workers, like Abdel Fernández, can goal.
The cigar is beginning to be distributed in European markets in four formats: a robusto 5 ½ x 52 (140 mm x 52), a gordito 5 ½ x 60 (140 mm x 60), a toro 6 x 54 ( 152 mm x 54) and a figurado 6 x 56 (152 mm x 56). New World Dorado is designed to be the top of the range of the brand, so prices in the markets will be around 20 euros per stick.
