For the third year, the Queen City Cigar Fest will highlight the beauty of the Charlotte, North Carolina, cigar culture. Founder Drida McGlown, known affectionately in the culture as Elegant Plume, and Organizer and husband Tyson McGlown, have set the dates for the festival as 17-21 May 2023. The duo has curated a top-tier outing to deliver nine events in five days.
QCCF is focused on building upon the success of the first two years. They witnessed massive turnouts from cigar patrons across the country who descended upon Charlotte to share their love for the culture and fellowship with fellow aficionados. It is impossible to fully enumerate the highlights of the previous events, but the memories are encapsulated within the nearly 1300 patrons who attended previous Queen City Cigar Festivals. The 2023 QCCF is expecting another high turn-out, keeping pace and exceeding last year’s event.
In preparation for another dynamic festival, the team has constructed a variety of events to meet the needs and wants of patrons who have asked for a celebration that is unlike any other.
Queen City Cigar Fest starts on Wednesday, 17 May, with its opening herf at Tailored Smoke Cigar Lounge Concord.
Thursday, 18 May, Features the Blues N’ Booze social at Smoke & Barrell Cigar Lounge, followed by the famous Sneaker Ball at Ash & Barrel Cigar Lounge.
Friday, 19 May, features a new addition to the Fest line-up. Point Blank Gun Range will host Ash N’ Ammo, a dynamic intersection between smoking cigars, weapon education, and range shooting. The evening is capped off with the popular Sister-of-the-leaf Night/ Elegant Plume Birthday Celebration. This event is designed to recognize, honor, and highlight the women attendees who make the cigar culture the beautiful and diverse arena it has evolved into.
On Saturday, 20 May, QCCF introduces a new event for attendees. The Celebrity Golf Tournament will be held at Old Sycamore Golf Plantation. QCCF Is proud to announce the participation of Super Bowl Champion Antwan Harris, retired NFL great Yancey Thigpen, and Actor Eric Martinez. Additional celebrity participants will be added soon.
QCCF is a partner in the community and invested in the lives of less fortunate community members. This year’s celebrity golf tournament will benefit two incredible organizations: Carolina Storm and AJ & The Cool Kids.
The second event of the day is the Smoke Signals Panel Discussion VIP Cigar Education session. The panelist for this year’s talk is among the pantheon of cigar culture elite. There is Erik Espinosa, owner of Espinosa Cigars. Abe Dababneh, Smoke Inn cigar lounges owner, KMA Radio and The Great Smoke. Monica Coleman is the owner of Stanley’s Cigar Lounge. Carolee Martin is the Premium Sales Manager for General Cigar Company. Sean Williams is a Brand Ambassador for Cohiba. Jaxx Guevarra, the GM of Casa De Montecristo, is rounding out the dynamic panel.
There’s a reason QCCF was nominated two years in a row as one of the best cigar festivals in the nation. In keeping with the themes of culture and vibe, QCCF presents an old-school R&B concert, complete with celebrity artists, catered food for the VIPs, cigar smoking, and good times.
The finale event is the Gemini Invasion/QCCF Final Day Party at 1501 Mint to thank the attendees for coming and socializing again at the premier cigar fest of Charlotte.
