VegaFina presented its first exclusive edition for Brazil at an event for 200 people at Espaço Cozy, in the city of São Paulo. The launch marks the seventh exclusive edition of the brand and the first dedicated to Brazil.
The VegaFina brand was one of the first non-Cuban brands to arrive in Brazil. Pioneering in the Brazilian market helped the brand to take advantage of the new consumer boom that the country has experienced in recent years.
According to Pedro Ventura, Director of Product Development and Hand Made Operations at the manufacture, who was present at the launch event, the Brazilian market has become an increasingly important market for the brand, with sales growth between 300 and 400% in the last four years.
“This led us to create an exclusive edition for the country to recognize this growth and this loyalty of consumers with our brand and contribute in building this relationship with the Brazilian market.”, says Pedro Ventura.
The name Brasilis refers to the name that the Europeans gave to the country shortly after its discovery by the Portuguese, calling it Terra Brasilis. VegaFina Brasilis Exclusivo Brasil has a rign gauge 40 by 178mm length with a charming “pigtail” and its blend is composed of Ecuador wrapper, Nicaragua binder and the filler with leaves from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
“The concept of creating this novelty was a combination of modern and traditional. The traditional because the vitola we choose is a Lancero, which is classic and elegant. Modern in the sense that the level of complexity offered by this blend is very much in line with what today’s consumer demands”, adds Pedro.
According to Daniel Teixeira, Commercial Director of Reality, official importer of the brand for Brazil, having a product developed exclusively for the brazilian market was an old dream, but the minimum volume of units to make this production viable has always been a barrier.
“VegaFina is one of our main brands and they were already working with this proposal to develop some exclusive products. The sales growth that we have had in recent years has made us more comfortable to assume this production volume and VegaFina would be that natural partner.” , adds Daniel.
The VegaFina Brasilis comes with 3 washers: the traditional washer with the VegaFina brand, a second in black and silver customized with the Brazilian flag and the third on the base of the cigar with the name of the gauge and the year of its launch.
The Brasilis is already available in Brazil in a limited series of 3,000 numbered boxes with 10 cigars.
