This month Arturo Fuente will be shipping a batch of its limited-production Rare Pink Vintage 1960s line. Included in this batch are the long-awaited Queen of Hearts and Sophisticated Hooker sizes.
The Queen of Hearts is a 3 3/4 x 54 figurado while the Sophisticated Hooker is the largest size in the Rare Pink Vintage 1960s line coming in at 7 1/4 x 53. These cigars were first introduced at the 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, but are being shipped for the first time.
The Rare Pink line was introduced late in 2020. The cigars were blended by Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr., who was inspired by his daughter Liana to create the line. Liana had lost both her grandmother and aunt to breast cancer and is very supportive of the cause of breast cancer research. The planned October release coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Rare Pink is an all-figurado line much like the Arturo Fuente Hemingway line. The Rare Pinks use an Ecuadorian wrapper from the Oliva Tobacco Company’s La Mecca farm. Other than some Nicaraguan tobacco used in the filler, most of the blend details were undisclosed.
In addition to the Queen of Hearts and Sophisticated Hooker, the other sizes released include Signature (6 x 46), Happy Ending (5 1/2 x 43), Work of Art (4 7/8 x 46/60), and Short Story (4 x 42/49).
