At the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Casa 1910 Cigars showcased its first limited edition offering, the Casa 1910 Cuchillo Parado Reserva 2020.
Cuchillo Parado was the first line introduced by Casa 1910 when the company made its debut in 2021. Cuchillo Parado is a town in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is considered to be the place where the Mexican Revolution started in 1910. Since Casa 1910’s brand is themed around the Mexican Revolution, this was the appropriate cigar to launch the Casa 1910 brand.
At the time Cuchillo Parado was being rolled in 2020, Casa 1910 Master Blender Manolo Santiago set aside some of the cigars that were rolled and decided to extra age them. He periodically tested them and felt now would be the time to release them. These cigars are dubbed the Casa 1910 Cuchillo Parado Reserva 2020.
Cuchillo Parado is made in Mexico at an undisclosed factory. The blend itself features 100% Mexican-grown tobacco. This is highlighted by a three-year-old Mexican Sumatra wrapper over five-year-old Negro San Andrés Mexican tobaccos for the binder and filler. Cuchillo Parado Reserva is available in one size – a 5 x 50 Robusto. The Cuchillo Parado Reserva 2020 features the same size and blend. The 2,500 cigars were packaged in 50-count cabinets. Pricing is set for around $18.00 USD, and the cigars are due to hit the stores later this summer.
