German Engineered Cigars has announced a pair of distribution partnerships that will bring its cigars to the Indian subcontinent region and the Middle East.
India Cigar Club will assume the distribution of German Engineered Cigars in the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East. This includes distribution to the Republic of India, Bangladesh, Bhuton, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Jordan, and Lebanon. It also includes distribution to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates).
German Engineered Cigars says its cigars will be available through their Mobile App INDIA CIGAR CLUB, and through hotels and partner retailers in the territory.
“With this partnership, we are taking the next big step for our brand,“ said Oliver Nickels, Co-Founder and Chief Cigar Engineer at German Engineered Cigars, in a press release. “These markets present great opportunities for us to underline the value of German Engineering in the cigar industry.“
“Our concept of a reduced cigar brand hit some nerve,“ added Klaas Mahler, German Engineered Cigars’ Co-Founder and Chief Cigar Designer. “We have been growing in the U.S. continuously in the past two years and received tremendous feedback on our design and our ideas. This partnership will allow us to extend our reach to aficionados in some of the largest and most interesting cigar markets in the world.”
“With German Purity and Latin American Flair, German Engineered Cigars bring a new perspective to our existing portfolio. The collective region is one of the highest-taxed Cigar markets in the world but continues to grow, and we are confident our community will thoroughly enjoy the GEC portfolio” says Raahuul Kapoor, Co-Founder of India Cigar Club.
German Engineered Cigars has also inked a second distribution deal with Sibling Cigars who will handle its distribution in Pakistan. “With this partnership, we are breaking new ground,“ added Oliver Nickels, Co-Founder and Chief Cigar Engineer at German Engineered Cigars. “Pakistan is a growing market with a young audience, and we are excited to bring German Cigar Engineering into the region.”
“We received fantastic feedback for our design and on the quality of our cigars. “ said Klaas Mahler, German Engineered Cigars’ Co-Founder and Chief Cigar Designer. “This partnership underlines once more that the global cigar market encourages new thinking and new ideas.”
“German Engineered Cigars are one of the first brands we are taking on as Sibling Cigars for Pakistan. Given our previous experience and the warmth our firm has received, we look forward to working with Oliver and Klaas to develop the market in Pakistan,” says Ritul Kapoor, Co-Founder of Sibling Cigars.
