Meerapfel Cigar has announced a new design for the wooden chest that is part of its Master Blend Series.
The key feature of the new chest will be the introduction of a perforated double floor. Each chest will also be packed with two 60-gram Boveda packs. Meerapfel Cigar says the perforated double floor will allow air and humidity from the Boveda packs to circulate freely throughout the packaging and ensure cigars are maintained under optimal conditions during transportation and storage.
The chests utilize Royal Paulownia wood (sometimes called Princess Tree) and are presented in a natural state using a laser finish and no use of varnish or lacquer. Paulownia is a lightweight, fast-growing wood that comes from forests that maintain a positive equilibrium of tree and plant biodiversity, either naturally or through responsible forest management. Using this wood allows Meerapfel to maintain its commitment to sustainability.
The chests secure each cigar with medical-grade foam at the head, foot, and top. The new packaging design will make its debut with the 2023 releases of the 2023 Master Blend Series, and this includes the upcoming Meerapfel Ernest release.
The Master Blend Series ultra-premium small batch limited releases pay homage to the different generations of the Meerapfel family. The company calls the segment these cigars fall into UberLuxury – meaning the use of the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship for both the cigars and the packaging.
