Ferio Tego has announced it is adding a 6 x 50 Toro size to its four blends in the Timeless Collection.
“The toro format has become one of the most popular vitolas sold on the U.S. market. Its 50-ring gauge sits perfectly in the middle of the spectrum of ring gauges popular on the American market today. At six inches in length, it provides an opportunity to create more flavor development from start to finish without commanding the time commitment that comes with longer, larger cigars,” said Michael Herklots, co-owner of Ferio Tego, in a press release.
The new sizes include:
Timeless Prestige Toro ($12.25 SRP/cigar, 20-count boxes)
Timeless Sterling Toro ($15.25 SRP/cigar, 10-count boxes)
Timeless Supreme 650. ($12.25 SRP/cigar, 21-count boxes)
Timeless Panamericana Magnum ($15.25 SRP/cigar, 10-count boxes)
Timeless Prestige and Sterling are produced at the Quesada factory (TABADEX) in the Dominican Republic. Prestige features a Honduran wrapper, Dominican binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. Timeless Sterling features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over all Dominican tobaccos.
Timeless Supreme and Panamericana originate from the Plasencia factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Supreme is a 100% Nicaraguan puro of Jalapa, Esteli?, Condega, and Ometepe. Panamericana blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Costa Rican tobaccos.
“We are very excited to bring this shape to all four of these tremendous experiences within our Timeless Collection,” said Herklots. “The toro offers the perfect entry point to each of these four blends, which can then lead to further discovery of the blends in other formats.”
Earlier this year, Ferio Tego added a Toro size to its Summa line. The annual Ferio Tego Elegancia and Generoso releases also come in a Toro.
Ferio Tego is distributed in the United States by Davidoff USA. All four cigars are shipping beginning today.
