At the Total Product Expo (TPE) 2024, Jake Wyatt Cigar Co. will introduce Icarus. This is a new offering that will feature Tennessee Fire Cured tobacco in the filler.
Icarus is a figure in Greek mythology. He is the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, the architect of the labyrinth of Crete. Icarus ignored Daedalus’s instructions not to fly too close to the sun. The heat from the son caused the beeswax in his wings to melt. His wings fell apart and Icarus fell from the sky, plunged into the sea, and drowned.
Jake Wyatt’s Icarus blend consists of a San Andres Maduro wrapper, a Dominican Olor binder, and a combination of Tennessee fire-cured tobacco, Criollo ’98, Piloto Cubano, and Pennsylvania Broadleaf. Currently the cigar is getting released in one size – a 6 x 54 Toro. It will also initially be available in five-packs. Production comes from Casamorabo Tabacalera in the Dominican Republic.
TPE 2024 opens on January 31, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
