If you live in the Manhattan area, then you have probably heard of this piece of news. If not, then let me share it with you. A new cigar store opened yesterday and it is touted to be an upscale one. Dubbed the New Cigar Inn, this new store can be found on Second Avenue, in between East 53rd and 54th streets.
Even better, this cigar store has the distinction of hosting the first ever Cigar Aficionado smoking lounge. That’s not it! It also has the first Cigar Aficionado humidor! How about that, huh? Naturally, the guys at Cigar Aficionado has a write up on this:
The comfortable smoking lounge, outfitted with leather couches and chairs and a working gas fireplace, occupies nearly a third of the 3,000-square-foot shop. There are 80 humidified lockers available for rental at the back wall of the lounge.
The shop is meant as the complete man’s retreat. In addition to a walk-in humidor brimming with cigars from the top names in the business, the Cigar Inn sells a line of men’s haberdashery items, with an emphasis on fine ties. There is also a Brioni counter, accessories from Elie Bleu, Dupont, Davidoff, Dunhill and Xikar, a row of Manning humidors and many other items for sale.
Now that is what I call living the life! In addition to these features, the store offers several flat screen TVs, as well as a top of the line sound system. If you are a Giants fan, you can also expect to watch every game in the store. Not bad. Not bad at all!
