Two years after introducing the Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve, the company is back with a darker twist: Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve Maduro.
Like the original, the cigars will be exclusively sold through Aganorsa’s top retail account, which are now dubbed Aganorsa Select Program retailers. Allowing these retailers to offer their customers something special, Aganorsa showcases tobaccos from select lots on their best farms. This includes leaves harvested from the Jalapa and Estelí growing regions, used throughout the filler and double binder. Finally, the cigars swap the cafe? wrapper of the original for a dark Mexican San Andrés leaf, amounting to “the boldest expression of Aganorsa’s signature flavor to date.”
“When we launched Rare Leaf in 2021, the idea was to provide our retail partners who make the commitment to our Aganorsa Select Program with a special blend they would have exclusivity on.” states Terence Reilly, who serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Due to the success of the original release and our Aganorsa Select retail partners’ enthusiasm for it, we are adding Rare Leaf Maduro, a truly powerful expression of Aganorsa tobacco and one I haven’t experienced before. This blend will make you sit up and pay attention while smoking or, as we say at Aganorsa, validating.”
Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve Maduro is set t begin shipping to retailers this May, arriving in three sizes: Robusto (5¼” x 52), Toro (6? x 54), and a box pressed Belicoso (6? x 52). This is nearly identical to the original cigar’s lineup, though swapping the 6? x 60 Titan size for the belicoso. The cigars will be offered in boxes of 15, with prices ranging from $13.50 to $14.50 per cigar MSRP.
