Gurkha Cigar Group has officially begun shipping the fourth and final installment of its Year of the Dragon series: the Gurkha Year of the Dragon by Oscar Valladares. The new release, first showcased at the PCA Convention in March, marks Gurkha’s return to Honduran cigar production.
The cigar comes in a 6×52 toro size, packaged in a yellow commemorative box of 10 cigars, priced at $25 per stick. This completes the Year of the Dragon collection, which also included releases from AJ Fernandez and Ernesto Pérez Carrillo earlier this year.
President Jim Colucci expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Valladares, stating, “It’s been a while since we released a blend made in Honduras, and partnering with Oscar Valladares was something special.”
With plans to continue partnering with Valladares, Gurkha Cigar Group has already teased 2025’s upcoming “Year of the Snake” collection.
