While it’s been known to members of Micallef’s social group for the past few weeks, Micallef Cigars has now formally announced the upcoming release of the Micallef Red, the latest addition to its Color Series lineup. The new cigar will be available in both Toro (6? x 52) and Robusto (5? x 52) sizes, priced between $7 and $8 per cigar. The Micallef Red joins the Color Series alongside the Micallef Black (2023) and the recently released Micallef Blue (spring 2024).
The Micallef Red is rolled at the company’s Fabrica de Micallef factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The cigar features a San Andrés Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan-grown Pennsylvania Broadleaf binder, and a blend of Nicaraguan and Mexican fillers. This combination is designed to deliver a medium to full-bodied smoking experience with flavors of gentle spice and deep earthy undertones.
The Micallef Red will be introduced through a series of Micallef Socials and other launch events throughout September and October, allowing attendees to try the cigar before its nationwide release in mid-October. These events are hosted in collaboration with select retail partners and are part of Micallef Cigars’ ongoing commitment to supporting family-owned brick-and-mortar retailers.
