Give the people what they want… and then some. This is part of the mindset behind Alec Bradley’s third entrant into the company’s Experimental Series—Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf—doubling down on the notion that Broadleaf tobacco has the goods that cigar fanatics crave. However, instead of simply wrapping and binding a cigar in two broad leaves, Alec Bradley played into the experimental nature of the series, making use of a proprietary Broadleaf tobacco grown in Honduras (as opposed to the conventional Connecticut or Pennsylvania). This includes a double binder and hearty fillers of Nicaragua and Honduras, amounting to quite possibly the most flavor-intensive experience from AB to date. The Alec Bradley Double Broadleaf is noticeably punchy from first light, bringing out dark (yet not charred) flavors of earth, freshly roasted coffee bean, chocolate malt, and a root-beer-like combination of vanilla/nutmeg/anise.
