Hey fellow cigar lovers, here is something that we can all look forward to this year. What do Cuba and The Dominican Republic have in common? You got it – they are two of the biggest cigar producing nations in the whole wide world. But there is more – they are organizing cigar festivals for the month of February!
In Cuba, the 11th Habanos Festival is in the works while in The Dominican Republic, they will have the 2nd ProCigar Festival. The latter is going to be held from the 16th of February to the 20th. Naturally, you can expect the country’s biggest cigar manufacturers to take part in the festival. Entrance fees are slated at $750 – yeah, a bit hefty considering that you also have to shell out major bucks for the airfare, hotel, and spending money.
The festival in Cuba, on the other hand, will be held from the 23rd of February to the 27th. This is the list or activities and corresponding charges:
• Welcome Night $210.00 CUC
• Visit to Plantations $80.00 CUC
• International Seminar $315.00 CUC
• Visit to Habanos Factories “H. Upmann” and “Laguito” $15.00 CUC
• Night of 40th anniversary of Trinidad Brand $185.00 CUC
• Gala Night $525.00 CUC
• FULL PROGRAM (Full Package) $1,330.00 CUC
• ACCOMPANYING PROGRAM $1,230.00 CUC
Now I didn’t say that these festivals come cheap, did I? Still, they come around but once a year so if you have the cash to burn, you might want to check them out.
