After unveiling the gordo-sized Liga Privada H99 Super Ancho cigar on the company’s latest edition of Freestyle Live, Drew Estate has formally announced the Super Ancho as the latest addition to the award-winning H99 series.
Rolled in a beefy 6? x 60 format, the Super Ancho marks the fourth size in the H99 blend to date, joining the former Phineas Gage size as the second limited cigar in the lineup. The cigars will be an event exclusive for Drew Estate, being offered only by Drew Diplomat Program retailers that hold events from May to August 2023.
?“Super Ancho’s 6 x 60 format answers the thousands of large ring gauge requests that we’ve been fielding for Liga Privada for more than ten years,” says Drew Estate Founder and President, Jonathan Drew. “We didn’t fold under pressure to get this 60-ring on the market until it was absolutely perfect and worthy of the name Liga Privada. Additionally, this private blend is truly super-complex, and should be explored by the dudes and dudettes who typically smoke smaller rings, even those who smoke lanceros. Super Ancho is just different.”
Liga Privada H99 Super Ancho boasts the same recipe as the core-line H99 cigars, including the cigar’s signature hybrid stalk-cut/cured H99 Connecticut Corojo wrapper from the Connecticut River Valley. This leaf surrounds a Mexican San Andrés Otapan Negro Último Corte binder and Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Pennsylvania Green River One Sucker fillers.
The cigars will be packaged in boxes of 25 and will retail for $507.36 per box MSRP ($21.14 per cigar). Retailers will only be allotted a maximum of three boxes per event, which will be held through August of this year.
