This week on Flavor Odyssey, we seek the best cigar pairing for the Ginger Mint Paloma, which, on paper, appears to be a bit of a challenge. Your hosts Robby Ras and Randy Griggs wind down their segment on emerging trends in the cocktail world, and will summarize what they have learned over the past several weeks.
Ginger Mint Paloma
2 oz. Tequila
1.5 oz. Grapefruit juice
1 oz. Fresh lime juice
0.5 oz. Sugarcane Syrup
0.5 oz. Ginger Syrup
Mint leaves for garnish
Combine all ingredients into a tin shaker, then add the ice.
Shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds. Fine strain into a highball glass.
Add another batch of fresh ice. Garnish with grapefruit wheel and mint sprig.
