Continuing the long-running Firecracker series from United Cigar Group and Two Guys Smoke Shop, United has announced the Black Bomb Firecracker cigar, which will debut at next month’s PCA trade show in Las Vegas.
United last overhauled the Firecracker as a regular-production cigar in 2021, and the Black Bomb Firecracker features a similar bold look, 25-count boxes, and a darker blend that brings out more intensity in the smoking experience. This includes a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Sumatra binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
“At United Cigars, we pride ourselves on our ability to push the boundaries of innovation in the Firecracker line while staying true to the essence of cigar craftsmanship,” said Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations. “We are excited to introduce the Black Bomb Firecracker to consumers who seek intensity and unparalleled flavors.”
The Firecracker series dates back to 2006, where Two Guys Smoke Shop (a New Hampshire-based retailer) would collaborate with well-known cigar manufacturers, offering tweaked versions of pre-existing cigars in the Firecracker’s signature 3½” x 50 format. Additionally, the cigars featured a fuse-tail cap, which is an exaggerated pigtail that extends long enough to resemble a firecracker fuse. While such collaborations continue to this day—including the likes of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, RoMa Craft, My Father Cigars, Perdomo, and more—there is also the regular-production version from United (who has close ties to Two Guys).
The Black Bomb Firecracker is rolled in a 3½” x 50 format at the Tabacalera Magia Cubana factory, located in the DR. The cigars are priced at $5.99 MSRP per cigar ($149.75/box of 25), and will debut at next month’s PCA trade show.
