The 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was special for Topper Cigars. For starters, the company is celebrating its 130th anniversary. As such, Topper is releasing the Topper 1894 to mark the occasion. However, it’s more than just marking an anniversary milestone. Recently, Chris Topper, President of Topper Cigar, found historical documents confirming the company’s inception traces back to 1894. As a result, Topper is established as the longest-standing family-owned cigar company in America, solidifying the company’s rich history in U.S. tobacco.
Topper 1894 was the showcase release at PCA 2024. The Topper 1894 features Habano seed tobacco grown in the U.S. and U.S. seed tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic. The cigar is produced at the De Los Reyes factory in the Dominican Republic. Presented in 20-count boxes, Topper 1894 comes in three sizes: Toro (6 x 54), Corona (6 x 44), and Robusto (5 x 50). The Topper 1894 is slated to be a regular production offering for Topper Cigars. It comes in at a price point between $8.50 to $10.50 SRP/cigar. The Topper 1894 is expected to reach retail shelves this spring.
